We Are Climbing: EcoVadis Silver for Our Sustainability Work

EcoVadis has evaluated SMA Mineral’s sustainability efforts – and this year we’ve taken a clear step forward. From bronze to silver, a level that places us among the top 15 percent of the most sustainable companies in the world.

To reach silver, a company must be in the 85th percentile or higher, and SMA Mineral reached the 88th percentile – meaning that only 12 percent of the more than 125,000 assessed companies worldwide perform better. Since last year, we have improved our score from 64 to 72 points, demonstrating that we are developing faster than many others in the industry.

Moving from bronze to silver is more than a symbolic achievement – it is proof of the commitment and focused work taking place throughout SMA Mineral. From production to supply chain, we work every day to reduce our environmental impact and strengthen sustainability in every part of the business. Sustainability is a natural part of our operations. We are proud of our progress, but we also look ahead – toward continued improvements, new initiatives, and even more ambitious goals for a resource-efficient and climate-smart future.

What is EcoVadis?

EcoVadis provides a global sustainability rating service that evaluates companies’ work in environmental practices, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Scores, ranging from 0–100, lead to medal levels (bronze, silver, gold, platinum) based on a company’s performance compared to others in the same industry. EcoVadis assesses more than 125,000 companies worldwide every year.
