Through our affiliation with SSG (Standard Solutions Group), we harmonise safety requirements for both our own employees and contractors. We ensure that all personnel have the necessary skills and training to work safely and responsibly.

Systematic Work for Health and Safety

A safe working environment is the foundation of our employees’ engagement and a prerequisite for achieving our strategic goals. We work in accordance with ISO 45001 to maintain a high structural standard in our health and safety management. This is based on a systematic approach involving regular safety rounds, pulse surveys via Winningtemp, and structured employee dialogues.

Strategies for Accident Prevention

SMA Mineral works actively to minimise the number of accidents. We prioritise eliminating or mitigating risks, even in situations where personal protective equipment is still required. To ensure a solid foundation of competence in workplace health and safety, we use SSG training courses. At certain facilities, additional local safety training programmes are also required.

Social Responsibility and Employee Wellbeing

SMA Mineral supports local associations and sports organisations, with a particular focus on youth activities and partnerships that reflect our values. As part of our social responsibility efforts, we make annual charitable donations – in 2025, support was provided to SOS Children’s Villages – and we sponsor local initiatives such as football schools. We also promote healthy lifestyles among our employees through a wellness policy that encourages health, wellbeing, and individual initiatives in everyday life.
