SMA Mineral - A world full of lime
The Oxelösund lime plant was built in 1976 by Maerz Ofenbau for the then Gränges Oxelösund Steelworks. The plant consists of two rectangular shaft kilns.
At the facility, quicklime is produced mainly for SSAB Oxelösund, but also for other applications such as flue gas cleaning, water treatment, and agriculture.
