On Monday, a large part of our staff gathered at our facilities for a joint premiere screening of The Story of SMA Mineral. The film is based on interviews with our founders and owners, Ulf and Daniel Juvél, who take us on a journey spanning several hundred years—from the early discoveries of ore in the home region around Persberg in Värmland to the business and challenges we face today.
The film describes how generations of the Juvél Åkeri family have lived from and around the mining industry, but also highlights key milestones since the current company was founded in 1980. Together, father and son Juvél also share their perspective on today’s situation, including the challenges they face regarding future issues such as sustainability and the environment.
