Oxelösund lime works in Sweden was built in 1976 by Maerz Ofenbau for the then Gränges Oxelösund Ironworks. The lime works consist of two rectangular shaft furnaces.
The plant produces quicklime mainly for SSAB Oxelösund, as well as other applications including flue gas scrubbing, water treatment and agriculture.
