Boda lime works
SMA Mineral acquired Boda lime works in Sweden in 1986. Since then, the plant has been continually modernised and the business has expanded. Boda produces quicklime, for which the rock is supplied from the adjacent limestone deposit in Jutjärn. Quicklime production takes place in a Maerz double shaft furnace and it also has milling and briquette production facilities. The plant’s customers are mainly in the steel, construction and chemical industries.
